Kiran Desai was announced as the winner of the Man Booker Prize for 2006 for 'The Inheritance of Loss'. The book doesn't sound particularly interesting to me, but.. interesting fact- Kiran Desai is Anita Desai's daughter. I was rooting for MJ Hyland's 'Carry Me Down' to win :( Pshaw.
